Privacy Policy
This policy explains which personal data Founders Lab B.V. collects through this website, why, and what you can ask of us. We keep it short and collect as little as we can.

Who we are
House of Founders is run by Founders Lab B.V., Brouwersgracht 77, Amsterdam, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 42000254. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Questions about privacy: hello@foundershouse.nl.
What we collect, and why
When you ask to be notified or subscribe to Dispatches.
We collect your email address and, if you give it, your first name. We also record where you signed up (for example the Part II page or the footer), your language, and when you confirmed your subscription. We use this only to send you Dispatches and news about the House. Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email.
When you request an invitation.
We collect what you enter in the form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), LinkedIn profile, city, company, role, website, annual revenue, team size, years as a founder, your answers to our questions, how you heard about us, and your consent. We use this to read your request, to contact you for a personal conversation and to compose the group for a Part. We may also look at your public LinkedIn profile. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into an agreement, and our legitimate interest in selecting participants carefully.
While you fill in the form.
Your answers are saved in your browser’s local storage on your own device, so you can continue later. They are not sent to us until you press “Seal & send”, and a draft left alone for 30 days is deleted the next time you open the page. You can clear it at any time with “Clear this draft” or by clearing your browser data. Your browser also keeps two small markers on your device, never sent to us: that you subscribed to Dispatches (“hof:dispatches”), and the reference and date of a sealed letter (“hof:apply:sent”), so the site doesn’t ask again.
When you visit the site.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how the site is used. It does not use cookies and does not build personal profiles; the data is aggregated. For the length of your visit, your browser remembers the page you arrived on and where you came from (a referring website or campaign link); only if you subscribe or request an invitation is this sent along with it, so we know which article or film brought you. Our hosting provider processes technical data such as IP addresses in server logs to keep the site secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website.
When you watch the documentary.
The film is hosted on YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play; the player then loads from youtube-nocookie.com. From that moment, Google’s privacy policy applies.
When you email us.
We keep your message and our reply for as long as needed to handle your question.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your data. We share it only with service providers that process it on our behalf, under a data processing agreement:
- Klaviyo, for Dispatches and notifications
- Supabase, for storing invitation requests
- Resend, for sending notification emails to our team
- Vercel, for hosting and privacy-friendly analytics
Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, we rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Dispatches: until you unsubscribe. After that, we keep your email address on a suppression list only to make sure we don’t write to you again.
- Invitation requests: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you join a Part, in which case we keep what we need for that Part.
- Analytics: aggregated only, no personal data.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Write to hello@foundershouse.nl; we respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Security
We use encrypted connections, restrict access to the people who need it, and store requests with providers that meet current security standards.
Children
This site and House of Founders are intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters to you, we’ll let you know.
